Zero's fractured whisper slithered through the groaning metal of the Sky's End Anchor. "Stillness... is an illusion." The city, already reversed in orientation and pulled earthward, shuddered violently.

Heng, clinging to a buckling strut, felt the Pull intensify, not upwards, but a sickening downward drag that threatened to tear him from his precarious anchor point.

Reflection's last conscious thought, a phantom of Tiechui's sacrifice, dissolved into the consuming void-light of the Anchor. The last remnants of her memory fragmenting further, her connection to the Pull Force now a conduit for Zero's influence, not her own defiance.

A deep, resonant hum began to emanate from the upward abyss itself, a sound that vibrated through bone and metal alike.

This was not the imposed stillness Zero had once offered. This was an active dissolution, a descent into an unknowable end.

The 'descending object' from the upward abyss, the one hinted at in Zero's fragmented transmissions, was not a threat to be fought, but the very mechanism of their undoing, a new kind of irreversible loss manifesting from the void. The chain and rivet aesthetic of their world offered no solace against this fundamental unmooring.

The humming object descended further, eclipsing the faint glow of the remaining anchor points. Zero's fragmented voice echoed, 'The sky... it breaks.'
